Server Assembling

In Choosing of case, we choose the hot-swap type cate in order to swap/add external storage conveniently and reduce the time to power off server. We also make the case to meet air intake and outlet with same mechanism to add the ability to exhaust air. we also use four case fan to cool the server. In choosing of Motherboard, we choose the motherboard supports multi-way cpus, and SSI EEB standard 12*13' spec board, It can improve the cooling ability of server. In choosing of power,According the whole server's power consume to get the appropriate value of power, also we use the power pass 80 plus can control the consume.

Server Testing

Performance of one server can divide according parts such as CPU, memory, storage, network, to different application have different requirement on some parts. Autotest script can run test on specified server, and get the result of each parts's perfromance, such as CPU frequency, integer/float compute speed, read/write speed of memory and disk read/write speed, the speed of network transmission and response time. then make the benchmark for each part, and it can be compared with other hardware mode,finally we can get the whole server performance by the weighted average each part's benchmark.
System will accord the result to general the excel table with comparison of each server, and use gnuplot to generate the figure to analyze.
